Any takers? Sat on one at a local dealer recently. Bike seemed a bit wider and heftier than say a Street Glide on which I am comfortable. I do like it although I am thinking they could tone down those massive air intakes a bit.

I'm set though find the bike interesting...electronic upgrades, suspension and 5 year warranty. One thing that doesn't interest me is an air cooled motor (especially in the desert). And price?

I reluctantly agree about air cooled engines.
.....though part of me still thinks that water cooling a motorcycle makes as much sense as air cooling a submarine.

...I kind of like it! I mean features like embedded turn signals in the mirrors, ram air, recessed driving lights and fairing/headlight arrangement (similar to the Triumph concept bagger)...great illumination. But interest dropped off when I read specs: 875 lbs (wet) and 34 mpg (wow)!

Talk about a Street Glide clone that is probably close to 35k.

I looked at that machine long before I looked at the Indian. The things I did NOT like about it were: #1-the weight-That machine has to be one of the heaviest ,if not the heaviest, machines on the market,#2- The heat that comes off that 1854CC air cooled motor was unbelievable, and #3,from what I could see,it's a real prick of misery to work on.So thank you,but no thank you.I owned three Ventures before I bought my Tbird,an 83 Standard-1200,a 93 Royale 1300,and then the 99RSV,also a 1300,and the heaviest of the three with a weight of 869 lbs. and was a real bugger to pick up if ya dropped it,which I did twice. But I also traveled well over a half million enjoyable miles on those three machines,200,000 on the RSV alone. However, that first year,1983,was plagued with problems which I encountered but fixed myself. Dave!!!
